New Dancing Moon in a new location in Greeley, CO

New Moon Dancing

In it's first appearance in Greeley in 2007, the sculpture won "People's Choice" and was subsequently purchased by the City.  It was placed in front of Union Colony until 2016.  Due to renovations, the sculpture was moved to storage until recently.  The sculpture now stands proud in front of Station #4 Firehouse.  It got a facelift and new piece of glass.  So happy to see it come to life again!

Arvada Art Drop

Arvada Art Drop is a fun program that introduces the Arvada community to local arts. For October, I submitted 14 fused glass pieces that were hidden throughout the park, like easter eggs.  The event started in the morning and visitors went hunting around the grounds in search of art.

What a wonderful concept! Emily Grace King has done an amazing job bringing an unique art experience to her local community.

Matriarchal Moon Creature at the MET

Our lovely lady has a new permanent home.  She is now resides near North Monaco Parkway and Lowry Boulevard in Denver.  There's a quiet sadness to seeing her leave my studio and go live the remainder of her days with another collection.  But at least she's in a location I will be able to visit her.

Dancing Aspens in Lake Oswego

The sculpture collection for the town of Lake Oswego is quite impressive! Especially enjoyed seeing the installation of my "Dancing Aspens" as part of their permanent collection. They are located in the entrance of the town's center. It's a pedestrian friendly area with shopping, restaurants and a collection of cultural activities.

Balanced Butterflies

Located at Millenium Plaza in Lake Oswego, a new and exciting sculpture has been installed as part of the town's temporary sculpture exhibit. The sculpture was well-received, especially by two young ladies who were playing in the water fountain. The younger, about 4-years-old, told me I should buy that sculpture.

Lake Oswego is a wonderful place to visit!

Backyard Improvements

My neighbors are doing a major facelift to their backyard space. I see a big trend for single family homes to make use of their outdoor spaces as living space. They buy the table and furniture, but need a few hardscape details to really give the space more integrity.

Here you have a screen made of four layers of polished stainless steel sheet metal.  It is suspended on cables to give it lightness and some kinetic movement.  It covers the utility panel that was so prominent in the outdoor space.

A railing was fabricated in the same stainless material to offer a more complete look and permanence of the backyard living room.

The next project to add will be fused glass light fixtures that are solar-powered.  I can also see the opportunity to team with an interior designer (or "exterior" designer) to assist with completing the space with furniture and of course, the pillows!
