Twisted Tree

Inspired by a tree I found recently when I was skiing at Arapahoe Basin. The tree looked like a candy cane by the way it had been twisted. I did some research and discovered it is a true phenomenon for a tree to be twisted. It takes a lifetime of harsh winds and weather for it to occur.

I was inspired to start my own piece. It feels autobiographical. This is the beginning.
